President - Martha Ervin

Martha A. Ervin has been a proud and active member of Business and Professional Women of Tennessee (BPW/TN) since 2007. Her journey began with East Memphis BPW and Greater Memphis BPW, where she served until 2013 before transferring to Jackson Area BPW. Today, Martha serves as President of Memphis Area Business and Professional Women and maintains a secondary membership with Jackson Area BPW, continuing her commitment to empowering women through leadership and service.

​Throughout her tenure, Martha has held numerous leadership roles at both the local and state levels. Her state-level service includes terms as State President (2021–2023), First Vice President (2014–2021), and State Treasurer (2023–2025). She has also served as Chair of Women Joining Forces, Chair of the Financial Committee, and Webmaster. Locally, Martha has led Memphis Area BPW as President since 2014 and previously held roles such as Foundation Chair for East Memphis BPW and Recording Secretary and Webmaster for Greater Memphis BPW.

Professionally, Martha is an IT Business Analyst at International Paper in Memphis, Tennessee, where she supports human resources and payroll systems. With a career spanning over 40 years in information systems, she has developed deep expertise in designing and implementing solutions that enhance human capital management processes.

In addition to her corporate career, Martha is a 51% owner of Ervin Hypnosis Center, a family business she co-founded with her husband, Richard. Together, they have built a successful hypnosis practice in Memphis, where Martha applies her corporate experience to support business operations and growth.
