President - Martha Ervin
Martha has been a member in good standing with Business and Professional Women of Tennessee since 2007. She participated in East Memphis BPW/Greater Memphis BPW from 2007 to 2013 when she transferred to Jackson Area BPW. Today, she holds the office of President of Memphis Area Business and Professional Women and retains a secondary membership with Jackson Area BPW.
Martha has held state offices to include: First Vice President (2014-2017), Women Joining Forces Chair, Financial Committee Chair, and Webmaster. Martha’s past local offices include: Foundation Chair for East Memphis BPW and Recording/Secretary and Webmaster for Greater Memphis BPW.
Martha’s current obligations for BPW/TN 2017-2018 is to serve as the Webmaster. Martha has been instrumental in coordinating activities to resurrect a group in Memphis with the support and sponsorship of Jackson Area BPW.
Martha is currently employed with International Paper in Memphis, TN as an IT Business Analyst working with human resources and payroll software. Martha’s information systems career spans 25 years in which she has advanced through various rolls to develop the qualifications and skills necessary to assist her customers with developing new programs and processes for human capital management.
Martha also is 51% owner in a family business, Ervin Hypnosis Center. Through a joint effort with her husband, Richard, they have built a successful hypnosis practice in Memphis. As a business owner Martha utilizes her skills and talents learned through corporate jobs to advance the success of the family business.
